What is a DHT Blocker? First off, what is DHT? DHT stands for Dihydrotestosterone. This is made via a byproduct of Testosterone. Hair loss begins when hair follicles are attacked by DHT. To make matters worse it also prevents current and future hair growth. which in turn causes hair loss by preventing hair growth. DHT attacks mainly the hair follicles at the temples and crown of the head. This type of balding is known as Androgenic Alopecia or Pattern Baldness.
What makes DHT?
When you break it down it's quite simple. There is an enzyme called 5 Alpha-Reductase (5AR) that has the ability to convert Testosterone (T) to DHT.

Then DHT finds Androgen Receptors (AR) inside the hair follicle. This causes the hair follicle to get smaller and eventually die in some cases.

So what can we do to stop this. Well, we can stop the process at the start with a DHT Blocker which could also be called a 5AR inhibitor.
